Ingredients
- 50 g (2oz) butter
- 50 g (2oz) plain flour
- 568 ml carton milk
- Grated nutmeg
- Salt and freshly ground back pepper to season
Method
- Put butter, plain flour and milk in a microwaveable bowl.
- Use a balloon whisk to whisk together
- Microwave on high in an 800W oven for 5 min, whisking every 1min, until smooth and thickened.
- Season with grated nutmeg, salt and freshly ground back pepper.
