Ingredients
- 6 ounces margarine
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 table spoon golden syrup
- 1 level teasonpoon bicarbonate of soda
- 2 tables spoons of boiling water
- pinch of salt
Method
- Melt margarine and syrup in a sauce pan
- Disolve the bicarbonate of soda in the boiling water and add to first mixture
- Mix flour, oats, salt and sugar then pour syrup mixture on to them
- Put small piles of the mixture onto a well greased baking tray leaving space for them to spread out
- Bake at 160°C for 20 - 25 minutes
